weeks- 208
hours- 35040
minutes-- 2,102,400
seconds-- 126,144,000

# of INSULTING tweets and Statements- again 7300 based on 5 per day @ 1460 days, again probably a low estimate..

# of how many times he will have his hair dyed-- 2 x per week @ 208 weeks= 416 times

# of how many promises he will break to the America public? How many promises did he actually make that will be the number..

# of times he will lie to the America public--- Every time he opens his mouth, I would assume..

# of times he will violate his oath and undermine the constitution--- TO MANY TO MENTION but than again (1) is more than enough..

Moms Demand Action meeting 2017-01-03

From the VCDL VA Alert:

I just learned that Moms Demand Action (MDA) is going to make a presentation to the West Springfield Citizen's Advisory Committee tomorrow, January 3 at 7:30 PM. It deals with a program called "BeSMART."

The program is about keeping children from getting access to unsecured firearms.

Sounds laudable on the surface, but MDA doesn't do anything unless it involves gun control.

How, when, and if a person secures their firearms is up to them.

While securing firearms that are not in use is generally a good idea, VCDL will not support any law that requires firearms to be secured. MDA, on the other hand, wants to make unsecured guns a criminal offense, even if the gun owner wasn't being reckless in doing so. I expect another such gun bill will be introduced in the General Assembly this year.

Who determines if a gun is "properly secured?" Circumstances vary and one size does NOT fit all. People with no children, only older children, or toddlers all have different considerations.

In the end, a gun must be accessible quickly to useful in an emergency.

Sometimes a child having access to a gun that they are familiar with has saved their life. Every year there are examples of this in the news. I remember one terrible case in California where a child familiar with her family's firearms did not have access to the those guns, per California law. During a home invasion when her parents weren't home, all she could do was watch helplessly as her siblings were murdered by a maniac with a pitchfork. Her attempts to get access to a gun were unsuccessful.

For older children, teaching them how to safely handle a gun is far superior to safes, locks, and other mechanisms that merely restrict access or discharge of a firearm. Any safety mechanism can be defeated by someone who is determined to do so.

Finally, Virginia already has a law with penalties for a person to "recklessly leave a LOADED, unsecured firearm in such a manner as to endanger the life or limb of any child under the age of fourteen" or "to authorize a child under the age of twelve to use a firearm EXCEPT when the child is under the supervision of an adult." (18.2-56.2).

If you wish to attend, here is the location:

West Springfield District Station
6140 Rolling Road
Springfield, VA 22152

Book NOT yet review. Hitler's Mein Kampf Becomes German bestseller.

The first reprint of Adolf Hitler's Mein Kampf in Germany since World War II [1945] has proved a surprise bestseller, heading for its sixth print run, its publisher said Tuesday.

The Institute of Contemporary History of Munich (IfZ) said around 85,000 copies of the new annotated version of the Nazi leader's anti-Semitic manifesto had flown off the shelves since its release last January.

However, the respected institute said that far from promoting far-right ideology, the publication had enriched a debate on the renewed rise of "authoritarian political views" in contemporary Western society.

The Bavarian state government's closely held copyright expired in 2016.

OCDO common-taters frequently disparage as conspiracy theory concepts with which they disagree. Hitler built a conspiracy theory of Semites and Bolsheviks.

George Orwell commented extensively in his letters. (Orwell, George. "Mein Kampf" review, reprinted in The Collected Essays, Journalism and Letters of George Orwell, Vol 2., Sonia Orwell and Ian Angus, eds., Harourt Brace Jovanovich 1968)

The Wikipedia of course has an extensive article and informative. It includes; "In his 1943 book The Menace of the Herd, Austrian scholar Erik von Kuehnelt-Leddihn[26] described Hitler's ideas in Mein Kampf and elsewhere as "a veritable reductio ad absurdum of 'progressive' thought"[27] and betraying "a curious lack of original thought" that shows Hitler offered no innovative or original ideas but was merely "a virtuoso of commonplaces which he may or may not repeat in the guise of a 'new discovery.'"[28] Hitler's stated aim, Kuehnelt-Leddihn writes, is to quash individualism in furtherance of political goals: ...[my emphasis]"

Constitutional Carry 2017

lundi 2 janvier 2017

Tomorrow, Jan. 3, a constitutional carry bill will be introduced in the Ky Senate. This bill has been in the works for 9 months, ever since the 2016 General Assembly adjourned. The bill was a joint collaboration of representatives from NRA Headquarters in Va., local NRA field representatives and members of the Board of KC3. Senator Albert Robinson will be the sponsor of the bill, just like last year. Senator Robinson was also heavily involved in writing this bill and approving what went into it. Nobody wanted a repeat of the mistakes and misunderstandings of last year.

For the first 90 days after last year's session, we tried to make the 37 page monstrosity from 2016 into something workable, but finally everyone involved decided it just could not be done and we had to start over with a new idea.

This years bill will not suit everybody, we couldn't do that either. There are things in this bill that I didn't want, but we attempted to write a bill that we could get passed, not try to please everybody. Just like our existing concealed carry law, we can improve it with time, but first we have to get it passed.

The bill will:
1. It will bear no resemblance to last years terrible 37 page bill.
2. It will be short. 5 full pages and a short paragraph on the 6th page.
3. Most of the 5 pages is just restating of existing law without any changes or in some cases minor changes to remove references to "licenses" or "permits".
4. The "meat" of the bill, the part that makes it legal to carry concealed without a license, comes in one paragraph, the second paragraph of the bill and only takes up one sentence.
5. Places where you can not carry a concealed weapon are exactly the same, word for word, as in the licensing law.
6. Ability of private property owners to restrict unlicensed concealed carry is exactly the same as in the licensing statute, word for word.
7. Ability of colleges and universities to control weapons is exactly the same as the existing law.
8. Authority of cities and counties to prohibit unlicensed concealed carry is the same as their authority to prohibit licensed concealed carry.
9. There is no change to the existing licensing system.(It is not even mentioned in this bill.) Those that want to get a license can still do so and it will still be useful for travel outside Ky. and as an exemption to the NIC background check.

Before some asks, Yes, I think we can get this passed, this year.

Here is a link to the 2017 Constitutional Carry bill. (This is not an official copy. That will not be made public until tomorrow morning. This is the last working draft that I was sent for comment and revision, last Friday. I don't expect the official version to be any different):

Book NOT review.Three Felonies A Day: How the Feds Target the Innocent Encounter 2011

http://ift.tt/2i3tieR

One cannot learn what these three felonies might be by reading this book, not from the forward by my once-upon-a-time (that's how a fairy tale begins) neighbor, Alan Dearth-O'-Witz, or from the body by author Alan Silverglate.

I have not sought out critical comment but don't recall anyone agreeing with the hyperbolic title, while all agree that there are too many laws and duplicative and duplicitous.

The Libtard mentality strikes again. OF COURSE the perp isn't going to admit it, even if he is dying. Why the hell are the cops taking his word for it? Why aren't they asking the little girl what he was trying to do? Because Boston PD apparently has nothing else to do other than rinse out their gloves at night. Salty gun ban;products to make gun "non-detachable" mag/warning/examination

^^^ new design part for salty gun

Portion of rifle salty definitions of PA13-3:
A semiautomatic, centerfire rifle that has an ability to accept a detachable magazine and has at least.....

Another portion of PA13-3:
A part or combination of parts designed or intended to convert a firearm into an assault weapon, as defined in subparagraph (A)(i) of this subdivision, [(1) of this subsection,] or any combination of parts from which an assault weapon, as defined in subparagraph (A)(i) of this subdivision, [(1) of this subsection,] may be rapidly assembled if those parts are in the possession or under the control of the same person;

INTRO

I have been reading several patents relating to people's ideas of getting around our state's salty gun definition...

One angle is to simply make the gun a non-detachable magazine design (where one needs to dissemble to action of the gun to get the mag out ~ if one can at all). This would then eliminate such a gun from the salty variety regardless of anything else.

EXAMINATION OF FRANKLIN SPECIAL MAG

I see major flaws in the Franklin idea of their modified magazine (not rocket science here, they just add tabs (or modify a std mag) to the top of the mag that allow it to be dropped into the mag well and disallows it to be shoved into the mag well from the bottom).

The Franklin one, to my understanding, does not change the ability of the gun to accept detachable mags...one can still shove a std mag into the mag well. Note that the law says nothing about needing to have such mags, only that the gun can accept them. The mags are not part of the gun.

So while the Franklin web page linked above says it converts the gun into a non-salty gun....I would beg to differ...it does not change the gun's ability to accept regular mags at all.

So if one has tossed out their reg. mags for these thinking that they have outwitted the total idiots in Hartford....they are likely still in possession of a salty gun. And this is outside the thinking that the tabs could be easily snipped off, making them back to being basically "std mags" aspect of the product.

ARMAGLOCK

With this product you replace your mag release button parts (tossing them in the trash ~ 'cause you cannot keep 'em) with their parts that then will not allow a std mag to be detached w/o disassembly of the action.

Here, you ARE changing the gun itself.

And PA13-3 talks about having parts to assemble to convert a non-salty gun into a salty one...not for disassembly of a part already on the gun to make this magical conversion.

Also, if you were to remove the ARMagLock (an easy operation) ... [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F0nnd0Parco for install of product] .. your mags would just fall out LOL. No way one could manually hold a mag in the proper position for the gun to operate IMO.

Of course the downside to the ARMagLock is the crushing of fingers danger .. I would add some foam padding to the barrel shroud to protect against this if one wishes to go this route (or some other level of finger protection).

CONCLUSION

IMO the Franklin product does nothing for a person in CT except to be a trap.

The ARMagLock appears to be the "best" option. But I could see needing to argue this legality in court ... would you be arrested? Maybe.

[I guess one could permanently attach a mag to the gun (making it a top-loading mag as part of the gun), making it part of the gun but this thread is to look at other products currently in the market place to turn a salty gun into a non-salty gun]

If anyone has seen any other products that are different in their design or application (there are several ARMagLock types but they operate via a similar principle) reply to the post.

Of course, pistols have the same requirement as needing to have a detachable mag ... so this thread covers both pistol and rifle

Trump should end the President’s Daily Briefing Focus on America, Not on Distractions

The PDB is suitable for the President of the World. It is a distraction for the President of the United States. POTUS is elected to advance the interests of American citizens, not to go abroad in search of monsters to destroy. Under the U.S. Constitution, sovereignty lies with “We the People.” The president is only a temporary steward of their liberties.

Except to create an invincible self-defense against actual or imminent aggression against the United States, all of President Trump’s time and focus should be on providing Americans a fair opportunity to develop their faculties and pursue their ambitions. Among other things, President Trump should champion infrastructure like libraries, schools, hospitals, highways, airports, and universal Internet access to all the great books of the world. Equally important, President Trump should put a knife in the back of the morally corrupt crony capitalism industry that is arresting economic growth.

Google Helping Mobile Publishing? Beware of G00gle Geeks bearing gifts.

Much of the publishers’ unease is rooted in Google’s presentation of AMP stories, which appear as if they are Google articles. That’s because Google, to speed up AMP, stores copies of publisher’s pages and serves them from its own internet network. So when a reader clicks an AMP link, the address bar at the top of the page displays google.com instead of the actual web address from the publisher.

Oh, you will be .... you will be. [I am not going to worry about these things.]

Tips of things not to do if you kill someone:
a) post on media that the person tried to kill him/herself dozens of times before
b) claim that you did not post such things as (a) at all
c) decide to "talk to the cops"

I did see that the coroner did not issue out a final report yet but it appears likely that he did not die a natural death.

Minnesota has dropped recognition of Ohio licenses

dimanche 1 janvier 2017

Minnesota dropped 4 more states in this year's evaluation of states with similar laws: Arkansas, Ohio, Oklahoma and Tennessee are no longer recognized. Since Ohio hasn't had any new firearms or concealed carry laws take effect during the past year, I have no idea why they were dropped.

Nevada’s universal gun background check law deemed unenforceable, put on ice

“When you have folks who don’t know what they are doing and don’t know what they are talking about when it comes to firearms policy, this is the sort of mess that you wind up with,” said Craig DeLuz, a spokesman for the Firearms Policy Coalition. “An idea that sounds good on paper can end up violating the rights of citizens.”
[ ... ]
But the FBI on Dec. 14 alerted the Nevada Department of Public Safety that it would not conduct the checks. The bureau said in a letter to state officials that it is the state’s responsibility to facilitate the checks and that the ballot measure’s approval “cannot dictate how federal resources are applied.”

Open carry ny

Hi there folks, just found this forum researching this question.

I'll keep this brief.

I was talking to a fellow yesterday, whose wife just got her CCW in Chemung county, he read the letter to me over the phone, it said, "although open carry is legal in NYS, it is highly recommended that you carry concealed". This was a letter from the permit office in Chemung.

I've always known and always been told, that NYS is CCW only. This letter is a huge discrepancy, why would the permit office put this letter out?

Can anyone shed some light on this for me?
