I put together some definitive numbers and some estimates just for ***** and giggles..

DJT will only be president for 12 hours on Inauguration day however I used 24 hours for the calculations.. So here we go.

Term and time in office..

Years 4
months- 48
weeks- 208
hours- 35040
minutes-- 2,102,400
seconds-- 126,144,000

Now some estimates;

# of RIDICULOUS tweets- 7300, based on 5 per day @ 1460 days.. This is probably a low estimate.

# of INSULTING tweets and Statements- again 7300 based on 5 per day @ 1460 days, again probably a low estimate..

# of how many times he will have his hair dyed-- 2 x per week @ 208 weeks= 416 times

# of how many promises he will break to the America public? How many promises did he actually make that will be the number..

# of times he will lie to the America public--- Every time he opens his mouth, I would assume..

# of times he will violate his oath and undermine the constitution--- TO MANY TO MENTION but than again (1) is more than enough..

Moms Demand Action meeting 2017-01-03

From the VCDL VA Alert:

I just learned that Moms Demand Action (MDA) is going to make a presentation to the West Springfield Citizen's Advisory Committee tomorrow, January 3 at 7:30 PM. It deals with a program called "BeSMART."

The program is about keeping children from getting access to unsecured firearms.

Sounds laudable on the surface, but MDA doesn't do anything unless it involves gun control.

How, when, and if a person secures their firearms is up to them.

While securing firearms that are not in use is generally a good idea, VCDL will not support any law that requires firearms to be secured. MDA, on the other hand, wants to make unsecured guns a criminal offense, even if the gun owner wasn't being reckless in doing so. I expect another such gun bill will be introduced in the General Assembly this year.

Who determines if a gun is "properly secured?" Circumstances vary and one size does NOT fit all. People with no children, only older children, or toddlers all have different considerations.

In the end, a gun must be accessible quickly to useful in an emergency.

Sometimes a child having access to a gun that they are familiar with has saved their life. Every year there are examples of this in the news. I remember one terrible case in California where a child familiar with her family's firearms did not have access to the those guns, per California law. During a home invasion when her parents weren't home, all she could do was watch helplessly as her siblings were murdered by a maniac with a pitchfork. Her attempts to get access to a gun were unsuccessful.

For older children, teaching them how to safely handle a gun is far superior to safes, locks, and other mechanisms that merely restrict access or discharge of a firearm. Any safety mechanism can be defeated by someone who is determined to do so.

Finally, Virginia already has a law with penalties for a person to "recklessly leave a LOADED, unsecured firearm in such a manner as to endanger the life or limb of any child under the age of fourteen" or "to authorize a child under the age of twelve to use a firearm EXCEPT when the child is under the supervision of an adult." (18.2-56.2).

If you wish to attend, here is the location:

West Springfield District Station
6140 Rolling Road
Springfield, VA 22152

Book NOT yet review. Hitler's Mein Kampf Becomes German bestseller.

The first reprint of Adolf Hitler's Mein Kampf in Germany since World War II [1945] has proved a surprise bestseller, heading for its sixth print run, its publisher said Tuesday.

The Institute of Contemporary History of Munich (IfZ) said around 85,000 copies of the new annotated version of the Nazi leader's anti-Semitic manifesto had flown off the shelves since its release last January.

However, the respected institute said that far from promoting far-right ideology, the publication had enriched a debate on the renewed rise of "authoritarian political views" in contemporary Western society.

The Bavarian state government's closely held copyright expired in 2016.

OCDO common-taters frequently disparage as conspiracy theory concepts with which they disagree. Hitler built a conspiracy theory of Semites and Bolsheviks.

George Orwell commented extensively in his letters. (Orwell, George. "Mein Kampf" review, reprinted in The Collected Essays, Journalism and Letters of George Orwell, Vol 2., Sonia Orwell and Ian Angus, eds., Harourt Brace Jovanovich 1968)

The Wikipedia of course has an extensive article and informative. It includes; "In his 1943 book The Menace of the Herd, Austrian scholar Erik von Kuehnelt-Leddihn[26] described Hitler's ideas in Mein Kampf and elsewhere as "a veritable reductio ad absurdum of 'progressive' thought"[27] and betraying "a curious lack of original thought" that shows Hitler offered no innovative or original ideas but was merely "a virtuoso of commonplaces which he may or may not repeat in the guise of a 'new discovery.'"[28] Hitler's stated aim, Kuehnelt-Leddihn writes, is to quash individualism in furtherance of political goals: ...[my emphasis]"

Constitutional Carry 2017

lundi 2 janvier 2017

Tomorrow, Jan. 3, a constitutional carry bill will be introduced in the Ky Senate. This bill has been in the works for 9 months, ever since the 2016 General Assembly adjourned. The bill was a joint collaboration of representatives from NRA Headquarters in Va., local NRA field representatives and members of the Board of KC3. Senator Albert Robinson will be the sponsor of the bill, just like last year. Senator Robinson was also heavily involved in writing this bill and approving what went into it. Nobody wanted a repeat of the mistakes and misunderstandings of last year.

For the first 90 days after last year's session, we tried to make the 37 page monstrosity from 2016 into something workable, but finally everyone involved decided it just could not be done and we had to start over with a new idea.

This years bill will not suit everybody, we couldn't do that either. There are things in this bill that I didn't want, but we attempted to write a bill that we could get passed, not try to please everybody. Just like our existing concealed carry law, we can improve it with time, but first we have to get it passed.

The bill will:
1. It will bear no resemblance to last years terrible 37 page bill.
2. It will be short. 5 full pages and a short paragraph on the 6th page.
3. Most of the 5 pages is just restating of existing law without any changes or in some cases minor changes to remove references to "licenses" or "permits".
4. The "meat" of the bill, the part that makes it legal to carry concealed without a license, comes in one paragraph, the second paragraph of the bill and only takes up one sentence.
5. Places where you can not carry a concealed weapon are exactly the same, word for word, as in the licensing law.
6. Ability of private property owners to restrict unlicensed concealed carry is exactly the same as in the licensing statute, word for word.
7. Ability of colleges and universities to control weapons is exactly the same as the existing law.
8. Authority of cities and counties to prohibit unlicensed concealed carry is the same as their authority to prohibit licensed concealed carry.
9. There is no change to the existing licensing system.(It is not even mentioned in this bill.) Those that want to get a license can still do so and it will still be useful for travel outside Ky. and as an exemption to the NIC background check.

Before some asks, Yes, I think we can get this passed, this year.

Here is a link to the 2017 Constitutional Carry bill. (This is not an official copy. That will not be made public until tomorrow morning. This is the last working draft that I was sent for comment and revision, last Friday. I don't expect the official version to be any different):
